"Chateau D'or"
"Chateau D'or"
A perfect example of American Victorian-style architecture, this mansion and historic landmark is situated at 269 Edmund Pl. in Detroit, Michigan. Built in 1882, it was originally owned by carpet and upholstery mogul George Ladvé. The ghost of George Ladvé is rumoured to haunt the mansion, subjecting its visitors to small, unharmful electric shocks caused by rubbing his spirit feet along the plush carpeting that still lines the halls of the great estate.
This print is a reproduction of a drawing made by Kat Jetté in 2020. The image is printed on Epson archival matte paper and packaged with a foamcore backing.
